Kate started with Gill in summer 2025. Telling people about books she loves is her favourite thing, and she still can’t believe she gets to do this as her job!

Before starting with Gill she worked for five years with Little Island Books, getting the word out about their children’s books. Prior to that she worked in the UK in academic and education publishing for McGraw-Hill, Oxford University Press, Wiley, and Elsevier. During this time she also volunteered for three years with the Oxford branch of the Society of Young Publishers.

Kate holds a masters in Publishing Studies from the University of Stirling and a BA in English Studies from Trinity College Dublin.

Campaigns she has worked on for Gill include Orla Drumgoole’s The Irish Mammy Cooks Cookbook, Jarlath Regan’s The Gobshite Guidebook and Adam Maguire’s The Bailout Babies.
