Editorial and Publicity Assistant (One Year, Fixed-Term Contract)

In collaboration with some of Ireland’s best writers, brands and a network of creative talents, Gill Books creates a dynamic publishing proposition in Ireland, building on a 160-year heritage while looking excitedly to the future.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, energetic and organised Editorial and Publicity Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support two teams (Marketing & Publicity and Editorial Development) with your time split evenly across the week. You will hone editorial, administrative and creative skills to aid the smooth running of both teams as they work across approximately seventy books per year.
The ideal candidate:
As a key member of two teams, the role is varied and fast-paced, so you’ll need exceptional personal organisation and time-management skills. You’ll be juggling many priorities and projects at once so attention to detail is critical. You’ll be working closely and collaboratively with colleagues across departments and with key external contacts, so you’ll need the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. You will have a love of books and be inquisitive about the Irish publishing landscape.
