Aoife Harrison

Editorial Manager

Aoife joined Gill Books in 2023, after seven years with the O’Brien Press. She also previously worked as a bookseller for a number of years before she joined the publishing industry. Aoife is the Editorial Manager of the Editorial Development team, where she manages the Gill Children’s and Gill Life imprints. She works closely with authors throughout the editorial process, carrying out developmental and structural edits, managing the copy editing and proofreading stages, and collaborating with illustrators to manage the artwork schedules and delivery. Aoife loves the variety of projects she gets to work on at Gill Books, and the fantastic authors and illustrators she meets along the way.

Recent titles she has worked on include Sophie’s Swaps by Sophie Morris, Loaf Tin Bakes by Shane Smith, Effie is Offline by Karen Harte, The Lonely Only Dinosaur by Olivia Hope and Animalopedia by John and Kathi Burke. She also works on several children’s fiction series, including the Milly McCarthy series by Leona Forde and Karen Harte, the Friendship Fairies series by Lucy Kennedy, the Tales of Darkisle series by Dave Rudden and the Ellora McGee, Trainee Banshee series by Sinéad O’Hart and Úna Woods.

Aoife holds a BA in English and Mathematical Studies from University College Dublin and an MPhil in Children’s Literature from Trinity College Dublin.
