Kitchen Hero Donal Skehan is back!

Donal Skehan is back this Tuesday on RTÉ One with his new TV series, Kitchen Hero: Rediscovering The Irish Kitchen, featuring classic recipes from Theodora FitzGibbon’s archive!

Loosely based on the recipes of Irish food writer Theodora Fitzgibbon, RTÉ’s new six-part series sees popular food writer Donal Skehan looking back over the last 50 years, drawing culinary inspiration from a generation that cooked much more than his own young generation, yet had access to far fewer ingredients. From Roast Beef with Batter Pudding, to Mutton Pies, Braised Rabbit and Gur Cake, Donal looks at the classic Irish recipes and recreates some of the dishes for a new generation of food lovers!

Donal Skehan: Rediscovering The Irish Kitchen airs every Tuesday at 8.30pm.
