7 Gill Book Authors Nominated for The Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards 2016

We are delighted to announce that 7 Gill Books authors have been shortlisted for The Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards 2016. Huge congratulations to everyone who made this year’s shortlist. View the full shortlist over on the Irish Book Awards website.

Most importantly cast your vote for your favourite books here. Voting is open until midnight on the 11th of November. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Dublin’s Double Tree by Hilton Hotel on Wednesday, 16th November. This year, anyone who casts their vote on www.bgeirishbookawards.ie will be in with the chance of winning a €100 voucher from National Book Tokens.

Gill Books Nominations

The following Gill Books authors were nominated:

• Adventures of a Wonky-Eyed Boy – Jason Byrne in Ireland AM Popular Nonfiction Book of the Year category.

• We have four Gill Books authors nominated in the Avonmore Cookbook of the Year category: Recipes For A Nervous Breakdown – Sophie White, Natural Born Feeder – Roz Purcell, Neven Maguire’s Complete Family Cookbook – Neven Maguire and The Brother Hubbard – Garrett Fitzgerald.

• In the Specsavers Children’s Book of the Year (Junior) category we have two Gill Books authors nominated: Historopedia – Fatti and John Burke and Pigín of Howth – Kathleen Watkins.
