Big congratulations to Gill Books author Neven Maguire on his win - The Nation’s Favourite Food Fast was awarded Avonmore Cookbook of the Year at the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards ceremony on Wednesday, November 27th in Dublin’s Double Tree Hilton.

We were delighted with five nominations that Gill & Macmillan authors received this year, including Turtle Bunbury and his The Glorious Madness: Tales of the Irish and The Great War and Michael O’Reilly’s Dancehall Days: When Showbands Ruled the Stage in The Journal.ie Best Irish Published Book of the Year; Susan Jane White’s The Extra Virgin Kitchen nominated in the Cookbook of the Year category; and investigative journalist Frank Connolly, author of the No 1 bestselling Tom Gilmartin: The Man Who Brought Down a Taoiseach and Exposed the Greed and Corruption at the Heart of Irish Politics, nominated in the Best Irish Non-Fiction Book Award.
