The Baby Sleep Solution, a new book by Ireland’s best known sleep consultant, Lucy Wolfe, provides simple and effective sleep techniques for parents
Along with exercise and good nutrition, good quality sleep is now considered the third pillar of optimum health… yet up to 70% of Irish parents are struggling with it. Poor quality sleep can have developmental, emotional and physical repercussions for babies. And if your baby is not sleeping, then neither are you and the whole family is suffering.
This new book by Ireland’s best known sleep consultant, Lucy Wolfe, provides simple and effective techniques to help parents establish positive sleep habits and tackle sleep problems without feeling under pressure to resort to rigid, inflexible strategies.
The secret to helping babies to sleep through the night is understanding their sleep cycles and the feeding/sleeping balance. With this in mind, Lucy Wolfe has developed a ‘stay-and-support’ approach, which has helped thousands of parents and babies around the world achieve better sleep. Lucy’s technique has a 98% success rate and most parents report improvements within the first 7 days of making the recommendations.
Lucy’s unique ‘stay and support’ approach is a twofold sleep strategy which combines biological time keeping and gentle support to develop positive sleeping habits. In-between ‘attachment’ and ‘cry it out’ techniques, this approach has baby’s emotional well-being at its core.
With this book parents will discover the issues that prevent baby from sleeping through the night, learn about baby’s biological sleep rhythms and how feeding can affect them, and create a customized, step-by-step plan to get baby to sleep through the night.
