Authors Gina and Karol Daly are Ireland’s favourite slimming Instagram home-cooks. Describing their approach as to cooking as ‘bold food made healthy’, their Instagram accounts are a genuine reflection of a happy life with the kitchen and food at its centre. Here they can be seen cooking up a storm and encouraging others to try the recipes they have devised and to love their food and life while still losing weight and smashing #familygoals and #couplegoals!
The Dishes’ food is anything but what you would expect from slimming food, and now their cookbook looks set to be one of the surprise hits of the year. Sections like Dishy Dinners, Ask Me Airfryer, Savage Snacks and Saucy Sauces (and, yes, the recipe for that cheese sauce!) offer the holy grail of slimming – eat the food you love and slim at the same time.

No more trips to the deli needed – We’ve got you covered with this tasty lunch treat. Crispy chicken in a roll or bread of your choice drizzled with satay sauce and loaded with fresh crisp iceberg lettuce, the ultimate day after the night before dream snack.
10g panko breadcrumbs 1 tsp lemon pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 chicken fillet
1 high-fibre wholemeal roll 1 tbsp lighter mayonnaise
¼ tsp white pepper Iceberg lettuce, torn 1 tomato, sliced
1 - If not using an airfryer, preheat your oven to 200°C.
2 - Mix the panko breadcrumbs with the lemon pepper in one bowl and pour the beaten egg into another Dunk the chicken fillet into the egg, shake off excess, then dip into the panko mix until evenly coated.
3 - Pop into the airfryer at 180°C for 15–20 minutes until golden and crispy, turning halfway You can also cook on a tray in a preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove and slice (or leave whole if you prefer).
4 - Slice the roll in half and toast lightly in the oven or under a grill. Mix the mayo with the white pepper and spoon it onto the bottom part of the roll.
5 - Add the lettuce and slices of tomato, then the sliced crispy chicken and wrap your chops around that deli-style treat created in your very own kitchen.
