Brendan Courtney

Brendan Courtney is a broadcaster, writer and designer.

He spearheaded the return of the BBC’s ‘Clothes Show’ which he produced and presented for three seasons. He continues to present the ‘Clothes Show Live’. As creative director of Giant Film and TV he has produced and presented countless TV series. He has already co-written a number-one book on style and fashion, Love Your Look.

His self-authored documentaries ‘Alias Ricky Gervais’ and ‘Living with Boy George’ won him critical acclaim. He then went on to host a self-titled terrestrial TV chat show, ‘The Brendan Courtney Show’, which led to his current role as presenter and stylist on RTÉ1’s fashion flagship TV show ‘Off the Rails’, which is now in its eighth season.

Brendan began his career as fashion reporter on RTÉ’s live daily show ‘Open House’. While working in fashion television and styling, Brendan returned to London’s Central Saint Martins College where he studied fashion illustration and design.

In 2012 Brendan created the international design competition ‘Who Wants to be a Milliner’, alongside Philip Treacy and Stephen Jones. The competition/TV show will celebrate and promote British design and export. The year 2012 also sees Brendan design his first women’s wear collection ‘Lennon Courtney’.
