Diarmaid Ferriter is one of Ireland’s leading historians and Professor of Modern Irish History at University College Dublin.


He has written a number of books including The Transformation of Ireland, 1900–2000, What if? Alternative Views of Twentieth-century Ireland, Judging Dev and Occasions of Sin: Sex and Society in Modern Ireland. His main research interests are the social, political and cultural history of twentieth-century Ireland.
