A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and hard-working Intern to assist the Marketing and Communications department in the busy run up to Christmas. Under the direction of the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will support the marketing and PR team as they implement over 30 promotional campaigns over a three-month period.
You will assist with securing media coverage, organising book launches and events, with digital marketing campaigns and any other administrative support required. The job will require attendance at events in the evenings and on weekends.
This role will provide critical support during the marketing and PR team’s busiest, most high-pressure period. You must be willing to assist and support the team as they work to achieve key objectives. You will be happy to take direction, pitch in and be rewarded by your ability to help the team achieve its goals. Your unflappable, can-do attitude will allow you to juggle a number of requests and demands, and your calm-under-pressure demeanour will enable you to prioritise accordingly.
You will be a confident, persuasive communicator across all mediums, with excellent verbal and written skills. You will have a familiarity with the publishing and media landscapes and be interested in learning more about them. You will be excited by our books, our authors and their stories, and have a passion for connecting them with as wide an audience as possible.
