Go on, admit it – you got a geeky little thrill when new schoolbooks arrived. Yes, most of them were pretty boring and full of facts about geometry and the origins of the First World War, but still, there was always the hope that there’d be something entertaining in there. And in some cases, there was – as you’ll remember when you see our new edition of Exploring English 3, full of the poems that you studied for your Inter Cert if you’re of a certain age (mine, as it happens – I was one of the very last year of students to do the Inter).
To celebrate the new publication of what was, for many people, the first book of poetry they ever owned, we’re giving away Exploring English 3, along with our reissues of Exploring English 1 and of course the Leaving Cert poetry anthology Soundings. To win, just email firstname.lastname@example.org by the end of October.
